Let's Make Dinosaurs!

Students and teachers alike love the dinosaur unit.  Students learn all kinds of awesome Science facts.  The entire Second Grade class will participate in a dinosaur making day on February 28.  Students are to create a dinosaur model at home and bring it to school to do some paper mache.  It is such a fun day filled with creativity.

Get Creative!  Enjoy this fun project with your child!

September Awards

These students have showed they have great handwriting skills!  Through the month of September I was looking for students who demonstrated that they take pride in their handwriting.  Several students showed me just that!  Don't worry!  If your child did not earn the handwriting certificate this month, they will have another chance to earn it later in the year.

The First Week of School!

We are well under way our first week of school!  Our classroom has been unusually hot lately.  If you would like to send a water bottle with your child to school, please do!  We have had some issues with talking during class.  I realize we haven't seen each other for a whole summer and I have taken that into consideration, but it is time to buckle down!  I have re-arranged desks hoping that will help.  Please discuss proper classroom etiquette with your child.  We have gone over so much the last couple days that I am sure their brains are on overload!  Thank You for your help!  This is something we will continue to work on as the year progresses.
